What you need yarn
two wooden sticks the same length. We used tree branches but popsicle sticks or dowel rods would also work.
rubber bands – optional
Instructions: To make it easier to start weaving fasten sticks together with a rubber band in a cross shape.
Hold the end of the yarn on top of the wood and wrap yarn around the stick catching the end. Wrap all the way around the stick then move under the next stick. Wrap all the way around that stick then move to the next stick going clockwise or anti-clockwise. Always bring the yarn under the stick before wrapping around When you want to change colours simply cut the yarn and tie on a new colour and begin wrapping again. When finished tie the end of the yarn to the stick where you ended. Push any end pieces where two colours were tied together to the back.
